Kick-off meeting- 31 May 2017

On May 31st 2017 the kick-off meeting of the Future Floodplains project took place in Leuven. The project was presented to all interested end users and through interactive discussions, the project goals were further refined.

Representatives of 13 different organizations / end users active in Flemish valleys were present at the first workshop. The workshop participants were given clear information about the objectives of the Future Floodplains project and the expected end products. In addition, participants could indicate the needs of their organization so that a first step could be taken towards developing relevant project end products.

In the second part of the workshop, the criteria for the selection of the study areas were recorded in an interactive manner. Subsequently, relevant information about the possible study areas was collected.
